Audiopipe or MB Quart?

i have personal experience with both audiopipe and mb quart and i would go with mb quart all day... audiopipe like stated earlier is good for the money but would only run those at 2ohms unless ur going ap1800 and higher...mb quart is not that expensive though, with way better quality..just my two cents..lol

The AP line (not the apsm) can run just fine at 1 ohm and some people even run them at .5 daily..

No its not. The Q series is a great line of amps. Excellent crossover section, underrated power output. Both soft and hard clip indicators. Stylish appearance. The only better amp within the same price range is probably the J-L XD series and they win on footprint and efficency only. I've used them both.

What, in your opinion is holding the Q series back?

from personal experience AP's are great for the money. I got the AP1500D on two 15" P3's and it pushes them very nicely. I would go with AP but thats just bc i already own one and had ZERO problems with it in over a year.

Wow, I didn't expect my thread to gather this much attention. Lol, but to the fellow who asked about reviews on the Sub, I looked at crutchfield, sonic electronix, and other googled reviews. They don't state that they are absolutely terrible, but I know they aren't the best either. I'm going to get a new sub when I get paid, if I'm not happy with the Kenwood. But thanks Kangaroux, I know what you mean when your talking to those that don't understand budget things. Used to be part of a guitar forum who worshiped $800+ brand name **** guitar where-as I know a company who makes just as good quality in the sub $200 range. They would bash the company to no end saying there's no way it could be quality for that cheap, it's impossible. :\

Perfectly substantiated opinion. Hifonics older series didnt do rated cleanly, Crunch amps dont do rated, Autotek doesnt do rated. Every line they have that used to be good sucks now.

It doesn't take a genius to know that an amp that costs $200 doesn't put out 4000w. But for the power they do put out (Which is around the ball park of 1500w) they do just fine.

Also doesnt take a genius to know that an amp that claims 1500wrms for $150-$200 BNIB has garbage guts, but that still doesnt prevent the jock riding.

Current Hifonics BRZ and BRE series do rated plus. MB Quart Q and ONYX series both do rated plus.
