yea that sub is crap, how much did you pay for it?

$50 off evilbay, what brands do you recommend for subwoofers? I'm still going to try this one out when I get the amp. If it sounds like *** then I'll swap it out.

Only problem with that is, they only have 12's, I can't fit 12's in my car, trunk be too small unless I get a custom box.

Not sure, it's a 2003 mustang GT, it's more height wise, have a good 14 inch clearance in and out of the trunk, throwing the seats down is a lot smaller than trying to squeeze it from the back.

im pretty sure you could fit 12s if not tens would be fine..you could prob do the 12s sealed and 10s ported

Probably, would have to search around for a good box size. Right now I have the Kenwood in a ported box, fits perfectly in the rear left corner of the trunk by the tail lights. I was planning on sticking another on the other side, or buying a dual 10" box and throwing it up by the seats.

This is true, would be cheaper to buy a bunch of higher grade wood, some wood glue, and throw it all together. Also design plans, unless I do a sealed box, that's pretty straight forward. Are Audiobahn sub's any good?

audiobahn are ok but there is way better. i could help you out alot more if u give me a price range,what amp you have, and what you want, sound quality or just loud

Sub 200 range, the lower the better pretty much, but so does the quality. I just got the Quart 1.600 so I'm dealing with roughly 300 RMS @ 4 ohms and 600 RMS @ 2 ohms. Maybe a mixture of quality and loud? I'm swinging to the loud side though.

you can get 2 re audio srx10 for 200 shipped..or settle for a type r you wont be dissapointed

SSA DCONs are 125, u could easily fit a single 12 sealed. They can all say what they want about kenwood but i like them, alot better the AP for sure. Ive have 3 2-channel kenwoods that do 200x2 @ 2ohms and 500 @ 4ohms x 1. They all did rated, pushed my jbl P1022 HARD and its on 700 threw my memphis now

EVERYONES been saying type r's are garbage. Go to the subwoofer discussion and click the "sealed 12 on 650rms" thread. All of thoughs speakers would be perfect for you. There mostly SQ oriented but they will all get decently loud

audiopipe is cheaper and better imo..and the dcons would be good but he is looking for tens maybe 2. and i have had experience with a type r not bad, but there is better. but it will be way better than kenwood
