Hey guys, i heard really good things about that 15001d and the 3000d, i was just wondering do any of u have any exp. with 18001d. I know its new, it just came out this year. Do u think it will be the same quality as the other two. Here are the specs:

distortions:

signal to noise ratio: 70db

low pass filter: 40-180hz

subsonic filter: 5-50hz

frequency response: 8-180hz

750 x 1 RMS @ 4 Ohms

1100 x 1 RMS @ 2 Ohms

1800 x 1 RMS @ 1 Ohms

What yall think?

Oh really, i wonder if these newer ones will live up to reputations of the 1500 and 3000d. I just might pull the trigger on the 1800d, i can one for around $200. I don't know about anyone else but if this thing 1800 watts thats like 10 cent a watt almost. U talk about budget friendly lol:)

I have the 1500d and love it. It does rated and possibly more. I would have got the 1800 but couldn't find a place that sells them for around 200. Oh and btw I have had a brutus 1606 and couldn't get rated out of it.

I have an Audiopipe 1500d and it's an excellent value. Small footprint, plenty of power, basic filters, and a small effective remote.

It's nothing to challenge the big boys with, but for it's size, power, and price, I can't find anything that I like better.

If the 1800 is similar, you'll be happy. Just don't go into it expecting a Sundown/DD/RD/IA amp, that has bleeding attention to detail and customer satisfaction on it. But as long as you have some slight electrical upgrades (second bat, HO alt, or both) then you'll get excellent performance.

They seem to have kept the heatsink style and general size from the 1500, so you can expect it to get warm, but not hot. Cooling was adequate without a fan, and has never overheated on me.

All filters and input/outputs look the same. My board (purchased recently) was designed in 2001, so it's probable they just updated the design and extracted slightly more power.

If you can get pics of the AmpGuts up, I'd greatly appreciate it (so I can mod mine accordingly)

My only problem with the Audiopipes is the build quality. The design is old and proven and used in many other amplifiers. Problem I have is with the boards they use and cheap construction. But being that it's a budget amp, I don't see how you could go wrong. Just not sure of how long these things will last with everyday use with lots of vibration. I have worked on the Massive amps, which are pretty much the same, and I was shocked at the crappy construction. I think someone told me that at some point the massive brand amps had a 50% failure rate out of the box new.... That's not good, but I am sure these have to be better since they are newer versions of basically the same amp. You should have seen my face the first time I worked on a Massive P3000.1. On the outside it looked fantastic, then when I opened it up, I was like "yuck". Good luck with them. Great budget amp.
