I was searching on Ebay looking for classic Mean Machines and I ran across this.

Seller clames the amp does not work but powers on, all good here.

If you look at the Guts photo Several things are missing, Now was this a manufactor defect error? Or did someone gut this like a fish on purpose.

No Fets, No Torrids, Not even holes were the FET holders might go.

Unless they are on the otherside of the board...

Pretty interesting.

It looks gutted to me, unless everything is on the other side.

The LEDs for the top label are controlled by the battery when you apply 12V and REM. It doesn't need a SMPS and it's transformers to work.

He took everything valuable out of the amp, and is trying to sell it as broken. If he did gut it, and you did buy it, you could file a dispute based on "Item not as described." since he said "powers fine". I've done it before.

I've also had some ****** ship a 4kW board with NO packing so that it was just rattling inside of a box roughly the same size of the board. I didn't win that one. The shipping shorted the SMPS transformers out.

i can't tell in the pic, but you sure the Mosfets arent under those 2 silver pieces running along the side?... they're usually covered up for protection

Hard to say, I dont have one infront of me to take apart.

But reguardless of that it is still missing quite a few parts, I know that some amplifiers do not NEED Torrids as I had a Stetsom TH2120 who's powersupply was pretty unique.

But as you can see on the board there are spaces for them.

Understandable, but I don't see the mounting hardware for the fets. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Teh secks. I forget what topology they used.

thats not really a classic bro.
You are correct, I just happend to click the link out of blind luck that someone might have gut shots for those newer Tek amps.

Low and behold I found one, But it wasnt all it should have been, I felt cheated.

Unfortunatly there is only a couple of old schoolers that I already had, I want a 333.

LOL triple LOL.... that is some funny *** shiz... It's almost worthless without the transformers and caps etc.... And it's not old, that's some new stuff, the old Autoteks don't have light up logos etc.... LOLZ
