Audiocontrol Epic-160 Small review

I tired it on a LPF output and the bass would come in sooooo random, and would only work on some songs. I think (although its been a while since I read the manual) that an epicenter looks pretty high in the scale to add its bassline, something like the 1k - 2.5k range (I could be/am wrong though)
I might have slightly different results than most because when I tried it, I had bass boost on and several major problems with my sub stage. I wouldn't advise hooking it up to you SW output though.
yeah from what i remember, it goes pretty much in up to the 1k area to look up for the bass partern

If i find a clean way to instal it in my glove box, i'll hook it up to the rearfill rca without any filter, plus i'll put my remote gain back for quick control over the subs.

Db score will probably be alteared alot by doing this, but hey, i'll still be able to control it a little

i metered a guy yesterday with the epic160 and he did a 146 and the epic read 151
hum so i'm doing around 136 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

We did a side to side car comparaison last week, the other guy was doing 144.8 on tl and my car was definitively louder than his to the ear.

wrong, they have only been 1db off on every setup ive used it on some times reading lower than a tl.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif im so tired of people saying that they are 5 to 10 db's off.if you havent testet it against a TL then STFU and GTFO.ive tested 3 epic-160 with many differant TL's and it was never off more than a DB.
I've had one for a long time now. I really doubt I was hitting 157 db's with two 250 rms subs and a thosand watt amp. I've used with several systems actually and it can be dead on or way off. It all depends on the temperature. The colder it is the lower it reads.

On a hot day with the heater blowing on it I got it to read 161 with 2 12's in the trunk.

Edit, With one system the epic said I was hitting 147.7. At Usaci I hit a 142.1.

I can't get my number to change even with a Ac at max or car closed under the sun all day. We still talking about the epic-160, not the 150?

Yep, The 160. I couldn't figure out for a long time why I was so much louder going home from work than I was going to work in the morning. Then I seen a post where some one mentioned that the Audiocontrols were temp sensitive and I started seeing it myself.

I wonder why mine is temp sensitive and your is not? Kind of odd.
