I have one of these and its pretty nice. Problem with it though is tuning the gain correctly. It says to have the stereo at 3/4 volume and to turn the input gain knob up until the "input maximized" light flashes with the music. I did that with my Alpine CDA-9883 and even maximizing the input gain it still didn't flash. I thought it might be the weak 2 volt outputs so today I got a new headunit, an Eclipse 8051 with 8 volt outputs. I turned the gain all the way up again and the headunit to 3/4 and it still didn't flash. Finally at full volume it flashed a tiny bit. Anyway, why wouldn't the input maximized light flash? Could it have been the CD I used (Billy Ray Cyrus country CD was the closest thing) or could the unit be faulty or I need to set some setting on the equalizer or stereo? Any help would be much appreciated.

settings on your eq should be flat when doing this.

usually when doing that you are supposed to use a "dynamic" cd... so something probably a little louder, more crazy than billy ray cyrus lol maybe try something with a little higher vocals or something rock oriented.

Is there like a test track online I can download and use? A lot of my stuff is pretty similar. Only thing I have that might do decent bass is some Waylon Jennings or some Kraftwerk for the dynamic-ness. Not sure what exactly to use //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
