audiobahn vs hifonics

Hifonics>AudiobahnMy feelings are that Audiobahn is probably one of the worst you can buy

horrible life cycle, stupid flames on everything

BLAHBLAHBLAH
Those are your feelings. Have you actually seen them or used them at all? It sounds like you haven't. While my A8002T isn't as great as the big names, it gets the job done. It says it puts out 800 but I would guess it to be more around 650-750. I'm pleased with it for my setup.

so would it be worth it to pay more and get a better brand? If the hifonics will make the watts it says it will i don't see the point to pay more for a better brand.

That is by far the dumbest question ever asked... Of course it is worth spending more money for a better product.

And Hifonics amplifiers do NOT put out their rated power, I have seen a few benches in which Audiobahns produce closer to their rated power than Hifonics. However, I would choose a Hifonics amp over an Audiobahn because Hifonics tend to be fairly reliable, regardless of their output. I have owned Audiobahn products and have had many problems with their amplifiers.

what amp are you considering? The new HiFonics put out close to their rated output, I have used HiFonics and I am very happy with them. My amps though are the BX1500D's (old), and they only put out 1300 watts or so at 1 ohm even though they are rated for 1500. The new ones are rerated to be more accurate:D

i have owned 2 audiobahn amps (a8000t and a8002t) and 2 hifonics brutus amps (bx500d and bx1000d).

i definately would choose hifonics over audiobahn because hifonics does more rated power, doesn't get too heated on long period of playtime, less exspensive than audiobahn amps for the actual power your getting, and all that chrome/flames isnt good looking at all

i've worked with them... seems like the fisher price version of car audio to me

depends how you see it. majority of what i read on here is that they have no problem buying refurbed because they think the company paid more attention to the amp and would more likely perform like new, or even better.

i personally wouldnt feel comfortable with refurbed amps because its just like buying a salvaged title vehicle. the car was smashed in the rear and was fixed like new, or maybe even better by the shop. who knows.

Hifonics vs. Audiobahn... bleh, two wrongs don't make a right.

Go for something else, but if you HAVE to choose... Hifonics. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
