yeah flux doesn't effect the system, it just cleans the metal surface and the sodder.

But with the dangling lead i see there, thats atrocious.

I know flux doesn't affect the unit as a whole, I'm just saying this soldering sucks big time, It's even fuglier in person...

go ahead and flame me...but i've seen worse.

think of it this way, with all that solder its less likely to short out

due to a connection being to thin
