audiobahn question

I know the F#1's are tweaked Revs, but aren't Revs sold by SS as a comp set? Ive heard Revs, I just never asked how the guy bought them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Naw...they aren't actually sold as a set that I know of. Only indirectly, as in the F#1's and such.

Hmmm okay, didnt realize that.

And oh yeah, CDT too. lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif There's alot of good comp manufacturers anymore actually.

I had a 1206T in a 3.2 cubed box @ 36 Hz (Audiobahn's ultimate SPL box), it got pretty d*mn loud and i was throwing ~1000 rms at it.... Depending on the space (unless you have like 7 cubes to work with) i'd go with ~5 cubes @ 35 Hz.

Look for an amp that does ~2000 rms @ 4 ohms bridged (then you can run the subs parallel/series)

Or an amp that does ~2000 rms @ 1 ohm mono (then parallel/parallel)

but you got really decent "bumping" subs for $130, they arent going to sound the best but if they sound good to you then it was a good $130 spent //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

it doesnt really matter about the sound quality because i know that audiobahns are all bass any ways so i was told buy my friends dad who works at some sound shop that i should just put some 6x9's in the trunk.. i think thats a pretty cool idea. would that make the sound better or just be a waste of money ?

Waste of money. If that's an idea that your friend's dad, who "works for a shop", came up with......I'd seriously start doubting how much his dad really knows.......

Damn...Jack snuck in there on me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sneaky.gif.7189749b3a3f769e8815b47e8ae87f88.gif

and if ur questioning where he works he works at jimmys in the chicago suburbs.. well tahts what my boy said
Never said I questioned where he worked.....just that I'd question his knowledge on the subject //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

LOL, I'm pretty new to car audio and that just doesn't even make sense.

I agree though Audiobahns get loud, but they don't sound good and are overrated, at least thats the case with the one I'm using right now. My kicker L5 was way louder and sounded way better IMO. Audiobahns definitely get an A+ in the bling section though.

...what was this thread about again? lol

i mean if money doesnt matter is it still a bad idea cuz i looked it up on car domain and i saw some guy that had it and he said it made the audiobahns sound better... if money dont matter is it still a dumb idea and if it is can yall gimmie some ideas on a different sub for a good price cuz i could sell the subs to my cousin for the same price any ways if its dumb to get those

Simply buy different subs and kill more than one bird with one stone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How much did you have to spend again?
