Well, they are just copying what Rockford Fosgate did. When it comes to competition, the product has to be available to the masses and not just the Rockford Fosgate Team, that way it is fair.

So what do they do? Create a woofer and then jack up the price so no one will buy it.

It's still an Audiobahn though, lol.

For $6,000...

I would buy a crap car, buy a big 5 gallon bucket of VB-1, go to town, then stuff it with as many RE XXX's as I could.

what is VB-1??? and the reason they have those subs is like so when you just need straight out SPL....of course you better not need money, because it and an amp or three will kill you to buy it

VB-1 is a product made by Cascade. It is a liquid sound deadener that you apply by brush and works much better IMO than any sort of mat like Dynamat for instance. It lets you apply it where you want to apply it and it doesn't have to be neat, straight walls. A few coats of that will do any vehicle right. I can't remember how expensive it is but a friend of mine sells the 5 gallon buckets. I think he sells it for around $200 shipped. In most instances, it will MORE than cover an entire vehicle (appr. 145 sq. ft.). Compare the use of that money with anything, like **** Dynamat, and the results will favor the VB-1. They also make a thinner, sprayable product called VB-1X for those with something to spray it with.

Yes, flyasspimp, those subs are for straight SPL as you so deftly mentioned, but the REASON they are $6000 is so that they can legally use the sub in competitions. Nothing more.

If i had the money to spend i would buy them.. i heard 2 once and it just about killed me at less than half volume. But with that much SD you would expect that.

I Garantee that bahn 34" can beat out almost ne other sub on the market. To some people with alot of money and alot of space, thats enough reason to buy it.
