audio school vs wheel's

Again- i love rims.. i have them myself (24's on my navi).. but i also went to school first, and did the more important things in life (had a house built, got a good job, saved money for a rainy day, stuff like that) rims can come later...schooling can lead to better things than rims that will be rusty/shitty/dated in 5 years...

hey wait, I bought a set of hydraulics for my car with a pell grant... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif ...eh I guess not quite the same //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

Are rims mainly for looks or do they have any performance advantages? This is not a knock at anyone that owns rims it is a legit question. I figure it doesn't matter if I hi-jack this messed up thread.

With different wheels you can get wider tires with less sidewall. Wider gives you more tire on the road at a given time and less sidewall flexes less I beleive.

Bigger rims (diameter) generally hurt performance. More unsprung weight. The 20's and tires on my little blazer weigh alot more than the stockers did.
yep- my 24's with tires are some heavy motherfu.ckers... truck is in the shop getting a supercharger put on (as said before- i know less than nothing about motors... next month comes brakes....(thinking ssbc all around)

Depends on what kind of rims you buy. Lighter, for instance, will obviously improve preformance.

Someones feelings are hurt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif I'm not lieing.. i have some free time- so lets find those posts, shall we?http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=235183 here's one- you cant afford gas in your escalade, so your wanting to get daddy's cts.. now your buying rims? oook..

http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=215716 - just read the thread- all your tardednes in one thread (start out saying 2 18" fully loaded btl's, and 2 (or was it 4) Rockford t30001's.. then come on out and say you've only got 1300 for a setup..)

come on man.. no one here is impressed with your escalade (with 100k miles as mentioned by you before), and this thread is further proof that you have a totally incorrect mentality... you wont go far in this life if you even SERIOUSLY debate this question...
Sounds like the type of person who lives in the projects but has an M5 or something sitting outside. Hopefully I don't need to elaborate on the ridiculousness of that.

"Besides rims can be ripped off, an education and career cannot."
when you are older; saying this is easy. when you are a teacher; saying that is easy. when you are a young adult; understanding it is the hard part.

go to acoustic edge install school. knowledge can only be taken away by Alzheimers and you ain't part of that club yet, so don't act like it.
I disagree. Even when I was 16 years old I had enough common sense to figure that one out. I mean come on, rims or college? I can't believe this is even a thread. Maybe a troll?
