Hi guys,

Im new here..

Basically i have just purchased a jvc exad head unit, jvc 6x9's, DVR 4ch 1000w max amp, and 12'' sub with box..

Today i really did think i would have it all in my BMW 316I E30, but no... problems arrised,

I fitted the head unit, turns on, plays cds, works fine.. however, my 6x9 on the right is VERY faint, and the one to the left is crackly, distorted, and has zero sound quality.

The speakers have not been damaged as i had them playing just minutes before on the old unit nice and clear, and they are correctly wired into the new unit (ie the standard cables green, purble.. RR + .. RR- are all correct in place) and i have even adjusted and gone through all of the headunit settings, ie bass, fade, speaker distance and alike...

So why is one speaker faint and quiet & the other louder but badly distorted and crackling?

Is their a chance that the amplifier needs wiring to the headunit to boost the sound but surely not as this unit would be available to purchase and simply wire into your car and its existing speakers with the standard cables.

Or is their even a possibility i have wired a power source incorrectly or an alternative wire? despite it functioning correctly.

All help is highly appreciated! im not too bad usually but this has got me pulling my hair out and i want it doing by the end of the weekend:verymad:
