Audio Experts - Help Please!

During driving and hitting bumps/potholes, the right door speakers (tweeter and component) pop in and out with crackle sounds too. The left door speakers are not affected. Both doors and rear seat speakers run on 1 amp (4004 RF) and I got subs running on another amp (2002 RF).

On top of the alternator whine that was never completely eliminated by Best Buy 3 years ago, I now have this problem. Currently the right door doesn't work very well or at all. Seems like a lot of static and missing ranges on the tweeter and speakers. When I hit a bump again, sometimes they will pop back to normal excellent sound.

I am pretty sure it is the amp (4004 RF). But I don't know if it is the:

-connection

-loose components within amp

-ground issues

-right door crossover issues

-?

Help please. Should I just take it back to Best Buy or are there things I can do on my own to check at least?

dont take it to best buy for the sake of god do it your self check all the wiring to and from the amp check the speaker/tweeter may have to redo some stuff and for the altenator wine do the BIG 3 that should eliminate that noise

your problems are highlighted in bold..

but check your ground...and your rcas.

if anything..take it to a real car audio shop. We here at power audio only charge a 45 dollar troubleshooting fee, and if it is something simple, we fix it for free.
Can you recommend me places in the Pittsburgh area? I would appreciate it.

Best Buy charged me $400 for the first install and then $180 for the subwoofer and its amp. I am so pissed. It never worked correctly from day 1. When I took it off from Best Buy the first time, the whine was so loud, it was like I was in an airplane! I pulled back up to the garage port and was like WTF. Then proceeded to 'work' on it another 2 hours and then the whine was about half as much as before. Now it just sounds like I got a turbocharger in my car. Never going there agaiN!

sounds like problems with connections. Just check the amp, speakers and crossovers to see what kind of shitty work they have done. And it doesn't hurt to check everything out to make sure it is done right.

I set an appointment with Team Nutz of Pittsburgh.

I have spent too much time already with it and I am getting no where. Best Buy did a horrible job with all the wiring. If I had installed it myself, I would better know what they changed and what is stock. Right now I have no clue, just a big mess of wires, poor ground (used the back seat seat belt bolt), and power wires running along RCA wires.

Thanks Best Buy for completely screwing up my cars audio. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
