like the title says, are they worth it? from what I've read the mirror higher fq in lower ones 60hz become 30hz or something like that. I love the low bass so this sounds like something worth trying but I never trust reviews from sites trying to sell the item (newegg lets bad reviews fly) so I thought I'd ask

I got one that I will hook up this weekend. From what I read though if you are going for an SQ setup this may not be for you. I listen to mostly rap music, so i'm hoping it will work out for my application. Jntar did a review of one a while back that I read up on, but the music he used it on is not my thing.

i've got something installed that is similar....soundstream bx-12...they are worth it but only if you want the low rumbling bass down to 35hz (or where ever the subsonic filter capable of on the epic that you get). i turn it on when bass in a song is lost due to mp3 quality...or song has none...but when a song has pounding bass i just turn the volume down on the knob and turn my eq up. much tighter bass just from eq rather than the fat bass from the epic.
