Hopefully this is the correct forum for this. I have some parts selected and I am hoping someone could let me know if they see any compatibility issues. I have a 2005 Honda Odyssey EX. I am replacing the stock head unit and all 4 stock speakers. I will also be adding an amp and a sub. Below are the parts.

Parts

Amp: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_530PN5....html?tp=35808

Speakers: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_206DSC...-43DSC504.html

Subwoofer: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_575R2D....html?tp=68872

Head unit: Not sure yet

I plan on building my own sealed sub enclosure.

I don't see any compatibility issues but this is also my first custom car audio install.

All thoughts and comments are appreciated

Dont swap the rear speakers out, leave them stock on head unit power.  Put all that money saved into a pair of good components up front and bridge your amp to the fronts or run active with a pioneer head unit with network mode, look for 3 pairs of 4 volt pre-outs, network mode and 13 band EQ plus time alignment, do a ported box over sealed its a van, a little low powered 10 sealed wont be noticeable at all.  If you want to do a low powered sealed go with a 12 or bigger.

You want to have really good front stage vs below mediocre all around.

Hopefully he isn't buying from Crutchfield as the price on that amp is ridiculous. Not too mention a lot better options out there for under 200 dollars. He could find a Pioneer GM-D9705 for around 220 shipped which has better specs and we all know is a much better amplifier then the picasso series from Soundstream.

First off I apologize, I have the LX trim level not the EX. After seeing your comments and a few comments on another forum I've rethought my plan. I think all I really want out of this is a little more level and bass. I'm not an audiophile by any means. I listen to a pretty wide variety of music and podcasts etc... When I listen to hip hop or something similar though I really wish I had more bass. Nothing crazy but I'd like to get my rear view mirror shaking a little bit. I don't know if I can do component speakers. The LX has the cutouts for tweeters but I don't know how involved of a process it would be to install them. Thanks for watching out for me @Coolhand20th I was planning on buying from Crutchfield. (I'm a noob when it comes to this).  So if all I'm doing is replacing the two front speakers and adding a sub in a (bandpass?) box do I even need a 5 channel amp? I would love for you guys to suggest parts! I'd like to keep it under $500.

mirrors wont shake with a 10 with only 250 watts rms.  Its a big van, you will need something substantial for that. Definitely get the NVX amp over the soundstream. You can do component speakers its not too hard just learn to take off the panels and use a little hot glue, see where there's holes and run some wire, not that hard.  If you can build your own ported box, you'll make things a lot cheaper even if you dont have proper tools, you can have home depot make  the cuts for you, take it home glue and screw, borrow a jigsaw and cut the hole, viola you are done.

.Polk Audio DB 5252 with the nvx amp, a 12 in a custom ported box or a 15 in a sealed box (if you are lazy) should get you where you want to be right around 500 dollars.

absolute minimum for head unit.
