Audio careers?

Hi i was just looking for future help I really like the whole car audio home audio. But i dont wanna really be an installer. I only like installing my own shit. What other types of Long term actual careers are out there. Or that i could end up going to college to help?

Well you could get an electrical engineering degree and Im sure you would be qulified to design, build, and test amps on the production level. Im in school right to be an electrical engineer and I have learned alot about filtering, signal processing, and circuit analysis plus alot more. And car audio can help you understand things better, like filtering and what not.

what about speakers themselves. I noticed alot of stuff for amps is EE but what about speaker designs and stuff liek that.

A lot of what goes into speaker design is covered in some EE classes...wave theory, physics, electromagnetics.

i think im the total opposite...i looooove installing, a lot. hard part is just finding a job doing it and making a good living while doing so.

yea the math sucks and im not good in math either took algebra trig twice, calculas 1 three times, and calculas 2 once, Im not dumb I just **** at math big time.

Car Audio is a very competitive industry, you’d most likely need an edge to get a mainstream job. Not saying it can’t be done, but it will take some effort. Scottie competed for several years and took major titles before he even came lose to getting a job at Power Master. But no need to worry about things you can’t control, if I was a betting man I’d bet on education.
