I hear all you guys talking about the brahma and the shivas. Well i cant afford brahmas so i was wondering about the shiva, since i found them on a website for 125 shipped.. What is the power handling on these babies? I saw it said something about 650 watts but i'm not sure if thats an rms rating.. Also what kind of enclosure works well with these subs? I have a box now that could hold 3 with 1.3 cf per chamber.. Would that work well with 3 shivas? Also i have perfects now as you can see. Well one of them aint so perfect cus i keep blowing it so i've about had it with them.. I might send it back and try one more time.. Or i think i might just sell all three of them when i get the other one back and get something new if these babies sound tight and have good power handling unlike the **** perfects. All the specs are in liters for volume and i dont feel like finding the conversions, so if anyone knows if these would work good in my setup let me know.. also i would power them with my mtx 81000d.. would this be overkill? Also would these sound as good as perfects? More importantly though will they hit as hard and not blow?

How much power are you running to your Perfects? Also I think 1.3cf is too much for the Perfects maybe that's why you keep blowing them, maybe you should try a 0.85 - 1 cf box. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Box size has nothing to do with it...

yeah its not the box size cus i had 2 of them in a 1 cf per chamber enclosure and those blew no problem. My amp didnt even break a sweat doing it. haha..

no the perfects do seem to put out nice bass and i really love the sound of them.. They handle a lot of power it seems just not quite enough. I cant help but mess up and turn my system up a little too much.. its just an impulsive problem i have, and i blow my subs.. I've never had a problem with this with any other subs. I think its mostly just cus this amp is too powerful and usually i have less power than my subs can handle.. Also, does anyone know about that compression circuit on the mtx amps? i konw theres some little pin hole you press to turn it off.. well i dont think mine is turned off but maybe it is.. cus one day i was playing around with it but i dont think i pressed it.. i dont even remember but if i did is there a way to turn it back on? do i just do the same thing.. i wish there was a way to tell if its on or off without blowing subs.. any suggestions?

also back to the first question, how much power dot he shivas take? also what are the ohm configs for them... I keep finding different paramaters and its pissign me off.. On one thing i see 375 per coil and 650 total.. which doesnt make sense.. and one time it said max and the other said rms.. so which is it.. i saw that one guy said he talked to adire directly and they said like 150 rms per coil or some low shit like that... well that seems different from what i saw on there website..

Does anybody konw this for sure.. and does anyone have shivas and are pushing them hard with something comparable to the 81000d in power.. i'm thinking about getting one or two to see how they hold up.
