i don't know any stoners that try and push weed on anyone. ive done a bit. didn't make me a worse person. maybe sleepy, but not flat out make someone an a** like that alcohol does. if people wanna talk about it, let them, and don't bother them.

if they like car audio, then why can't they mention it here? i personally liked listening to some high quality stereo sound when i got high. hence motivation to work on my system when i wasn't high.

im not saying its something everyone should do... in fact ive quit. im jus sayin i don't think it hurt me one bit, and possibly even swayed my stereo design. which i like. i used to shoot for sheer volume rather than quality. i made the switch during a time when i got high fairly often.

lets just say, for example: Sitting next to someone that is drinking does not get me drunk, however, due to the inhalation and expiration nature of smoking, sitting next to you, consuming it, will cause said unwanted occurance. Same for people that smoke cigs-- stinky, smelly, dirty and disrespectful of others and their environment...NO? Really? Go outside the back door of your school, office, side of the roadway, freeway, wherever, and look at how many cigarette butts are lying around. It is so dirty and smelly that not even smokers want it in their own vehicles or on their own person.

Sitting next to someone whos drinking, usually it sucks to be around a drunk person because they are infact not themselves and usually out of control and a complete idiot. I hate drunks. It doesnt however get you drunk, thats correct, in a way its just as disrespectful as those who smoke around people. I agree with that comparison 100% and cant stand when people do something that they know pisses other people off.

As for the frame of mind, well 1st its not that easy to get high off just 2nd hand smoke from weed. Some who smoke dont even get to feel the effects off 1st hand. However like I said, those that smoke around others that dont are dumb. I never have, nor would I ever do that.

Also as far as frame of mind goes, if you've been high before, and also been drunk before. Im sure you can atleast make your own comparison as to which one takes you further away from sanity then the other. I dont think I need to go on about that.

im just continuing to discuss my side of the debate - not attacking. and im not claiming to be the smartest person ever. but not an idiot.

- its illegal for the wrong reasons, and the only way to make it legal is to prove that it is not as harmful as it is made out to be.

- i agree, people who want to smoke it should do it by themselves or with others who do it. this is simply out of respect for those who don't do it. note that it can used in other ways without setting it on fire. you've heard of the brownies right... if weed was legal i could afford to buy it enough quantity to be doin that instead. ive read it would cost about 5 bucks a bail for a farmer to grow it, if he could actually fill a field with it and not be 2 plants in someones basement under grow lites.

- compare its fatalities to the countless car accidents and violence that go on with alcohol, which is legal. have you you met an angry and violent pothead? (pothead = one who smokes pot exclusively, no other substances) and how many weed-only related car accidents are there?

- also, alcohol and tobacco can be addicting physically as well as mentally, herb has no physical dependency associated with it.

- you CANNOT o.d. on marijane. its not possible. you WONT die. you'll just be really high.

the issue with marijuana is the fact that its illegal. drug dealers carry other substances that will make them more money. this is how the whole stepping stone to other drugs idea came about. the dealer wants you to try that addicting stuff so he can make some cash. he'll make it just as accessible as the ganja. also dealers wouldn't be shooting people over a legal product sold at wawa.

best dealer trick ive seen - yeah the green isn't in season right now, but i have this instead, its not THAT bad.

I spose I am not the addictive type personality. good for me. whatever.

I know there have been more issues, problems, (reported) with alcohol -- it not only makes you ignorant but in most caases a false sense of ability, as we all know, and since drinking is more accessible it is going to be reported on more occasionally. Byt, guess what, if you are under the influence you are still DUI or DWI and you still go to jail.

HOWEVER, if I dont respond that means I am not a responsible, law abiding, american citizen that wishes to keep the influence of said substances out of the reach of my children... I am a good parent and I teach my kids all I can about my impression of making the right decisions, based on my experience. I CAN NOT Control what their peers teach, tell, or expirement with. So, as a proud mother of Three children, Not only am I going to teach them what is right, I am going to fight for their safety when I am not "there" to personally protect them.

If you dont like my ideas or opinions...DONT POST YOUR STUPID SHIT IN THE CAR AUDIO FORUM! There are many other places where you can do that and most members will actually CARE or support you. What you do in the privacy of your own home is your own business, and thats kewl. Bring it out in public and you are inviting not only support but criticism. Einstein.

We are defending an illegal substance because its illegal for all the wrong reasons. If you really are interested in educating yourself about the issue, you really should watch the movie Ballrrt06 posted. http://www.jonhs.net/freemovies/grass.htm Its quite informative. Its really more of just the history of it though. I could post to different movies but I cant find them right now.

havent seen it, I will watch it, but I have a pretty good 'nose' for bias ... anything can be made to look good.

hell, in the 50's ciggarettes were advertised as being seductive, now we find the chemicals included in with this NATURAL Herb, as it is sold, is very addictive, and damaging... as well as the smoke that is produced by burning it. Do ya know what tobacco was originally used for before somone figured out it could be smoked? Research that...hint, the Native Americans were very good at using natural resources.

thats the thing, cigarettes have been proven harmful.

weed has not. by anyone. all the things the american government has said about them being harmful is false. its that simple.

and it being illegal is why i quit it. i don't want to support dealers that also sell heroin. its that simple. and i won't touch it again unless its made legal. and i don't think your kids should try it now and be exposed to that criminal world. but if it were made legal and given a 21 year old limit like alcohol, would there be a problem? in my opinion i think a legal, safer alternative to alcohol would be a great help to society.

what plant do you refer to? Both the tobacco plant and the Marijuana plant have VERY GOOD natural uses... those said uses have nothing to do with burning them.

If they want to talk about pot... let them. For **** sakes just don't click the link. I hate ****ing video game consoles, but people can certainly talk about them without me getting in a tizzy. When I was young I smoked pretty heavy, but don't at all anymore. Losing my job isn't worth the high. My personal choice.

marijuana can be used to get high without the drawbacks of alcohol.

all the reports that i have read say that if you eat the marijuana rather than burn it, there are none of the bad side effects.

smoke by itself should not be consumed. its smoke, duh.

but in order to get high by eating it, you have to have large amounts.

most people see it as a waste because smoking is much more potent and if it were legal, you could get enough cheaply to make this method worthwhile.

your lungs would be unaffected, no liver problems, no physical addiction.

im not saying that its for everyone, i personally do not need any stimulants. i don't do any currently... no drinks, no tobacco, no weed.

but i would like to enjoy some marijane every once in a while, just to get a different perspective on things. and with it you don't get that dependency. you choose if you wanna be high all day stoner. its not the substance.

Thats not really as big of a problem as it used to be. People still add worthless shit to it though to increase their yield. This is a huge problem over in the UK. Soap Hash is by far some of the worst stuff for you on the face of this earth. Soap hash has everything from motor oil to hay in it. And recently, dealers started grinding up glass really fine and sprinkly it over the marijuana. Its called Grit Weed. The problem with the glass is that it cant be detected by eye. For those who dont know, really really good marijuana has little crystals all over it called Trichromes. These trichromes add to the potency of the marijuana. When people see the dirt weed with glass sprinkled all over it, they think its really good weed. Then they end up inhaling glass. The only real way to tell is to chew some of it.
