You sucked as the Mets GM...stop pretending to be the GM of every team in the majors...you **** at life.

I agree that ESPN is stupid doing those simulated GM conferences, but you couldn't do a better job. The players are the ones that make and break GM's and managers. When the players perform, the GM and Manager ride high. When the players play like trash and the team loses, the GM and Manager take the criticism and fall.

gm's should get some blame. taking in a grossly overweight baseball player in his 30's in the national league is not wsie.

ESPN is wasting their time. They aren't telling us anything we don't already know with these dumbass conferences. I was more intrigued watching Drew Rosenhaus answer "next question" to every single question directed at him and the assclown behind him then watching Steve Phillips make a bigger joke out of himself.

I do partly agree with you on the GM/Manager's point...but at the same time, it's the GM's job to bring in the best players possible for the team...not just sign a bunch of 34 year old veterans and try to make a run at the championship...

i like how these teams just decide to overhaul there roster when they come so close to a championship. weren't they winning with edgardo alfonso and john olerued and replace them with vaughn and alomar? or letting mike hampton leave. why not just add key players to your team that is already a championship contender. i don't follow the mets much so i don't know all the doings that happened.

There's been talk of them going after Furcal...which I wouldn't do...I'd pursue Marcus Giles before I did Furcal...
