ATTN Rockford fans - help me identify this sub!

Im building a box for a dude and his girlfriend has 2 subs she wants to sell me for 100$ in a sealed prefab box. I have no idea what kind they are or anything, all i know is theyre rockford, and they are missing the rubber gasket and have a red basket. The front looks like this. Has a real fat surround on it and like i said a red basket, are those decent clues? Its kindof old it looks like.

well the older model that is similar to the one pictured (which is a hx2), is an HE.

the P1 and the P2 had red baskets and they were kinda junk subs you could flick the cone and it would crack to pieces. if its those I wouldnt get them imo.

Dont buy that used shit. I bought something once and it was fine during the demo. but when i got home I found out it had a loose coil wire that worked once in a while...

My guess is either HE or HE2. If HE then forget it, if HE2 then they are nice sounding subs, but 100 may be a bit on the high side. You can't get the model number off the magnet? I have a pair of 10" HE2s that I absolutely love the sound of.

The only problem is that I don't recall RF using a red basket on the HE and HE2, they had silver stamped steel. Like everyone else I only seen red baskets on P subs, but the cones on those look nothing like your picture. Here is a P1

Actually they could have been RFZ as well which is even worse than HE. RF made so many variation during that time frame, which is why the model number on the back is really needed to properly identify.

Definatly not a P2, doesnt have the bullshit cone. Has a regular style cone with a bubble dust cap and big foam surround, and i can tell by the gasket missing that the basket is red. Ill have to go pull them out and check what they are.
