it has the capabilities, just because its not out of the box doesnt mean anything, its price allows more people to buy the console they need.blah blah blah. Then don't market it as a media center. Next gen consoles are based on its media capabilities.
I'm in a bad mood, im gonna go away as I can't explain business to people posting on ca.com.
Isn't blu-ray sony's technology? Also, im pretty sure the 360 will eventually have a bluray addon, i think microsoft played it smart, the hddvd and blueray battle could have gone either way, having it integrated into the system would have been a catastrophe.
honestly i dont know.Isn't blu-ray sony's technology?
If you're trying to explain business you are doing a poor job. Microsoft could have put all of the same features into the 360 that Sony did in the PS3, however it would cost $700-$900 to build a console that sells for $500, which is what Sony is doing. Microsoft made a choice to offer a console that doesn't include stuff that not all users would need. Also, I think the 360 works perfectly for streaming from a PC, and to stream Hi Def content you need a hardwired connection, even 802.11n does not have enough bandwidth to stream Hi Def content from a PC, only wired connections do.blah blah blah. Then don't market it as a media center. Next gen consoles are based on its media capabilities.

No, it was developed by Sony, Matsushita, Pioneer, Philips, Thomson, LG Electronics, Hitachi, Sharp, and Samsung. I don't believe that Sony even did the majority of the R&D, I think that was Pioneer and Philips.Isn't blu-ray sony's technology?
Are you not reading what he is typing?it has the capabilities, just because its not out of the box doesnt mean anything, its price allows more people to buy the console they need.
yes, he is stating that to be a true "next gen console" it should have wireless, battery packs, hd movie, hdmi, yadda yadda. Are you not reading what he is typing?
An Elite still doesn't have what a PS3 has and to get what a PS3 has, you'd spend more. Where do you get 30% more? A PS3 starts at $399.yes, he is stating that to be a true "next gen console" it should have wireless, battery packs, hd movie, hdmi, yadda yadda.
yet its 30% more and not everyone needs all that. Thats my point, microsoft has differnt "levels" of 360s for people to choose from. Can go from the basic arcade, all the way up to an elite.
