ATTN: PS3 & 360 owners

i have both, and my xbox live accnt is now cancelled, just never played it, also my xbox sounds like a fvcking turbine when u turn it on, ps3 hardly does anyting loud, dont know if its just mine or what
i prefer ps3 marketplace over xbox

built in wifi FTW

internet browser is neat to use with youtube and such to play around with

i used to have a ton of fun back in HS with Halo though

both are great consoles, i think ps3 is built better and just prefer it more now, bluray rocks
My 360 also worked as a space heater. I could shut my door on my room and the 360 would literally heat the entire room.

Buy a set of AA rechargeables, cheap and replaceable when the life starts diminishing, in 2 years your PS3 controller will need to be recharged every 2 hour, mine won't. A next gen GAME console is just that, a game console, not an entertainment center. Built in wireless is the only thing I will agree with you on, Blu Ray is a non feature to me, after looking at movie prices that are $10-$20 more than a DVD when I am still 100% satisfied with DVD is asinine. The PS3 definitely has cool features, but the core of a game system is the game experience, and all around I think the 360 just has it beat. Also, I wasn't talking about the no HDD system, the 20gb model is $299 now nd the 60gb is $349, more HDD for less than the PS3, and why do you need HDMI? Every test I have seen shows Component being equal to HDMI in picture quality for HD. HDMI is absolutely not needed, HDCP is not enabled on Blu Ray and from the sounds of it, it never will be negating any need for HDMI.

Recharable AA will deplete faster than the tech in the PS3 controllers. Also you dont know what asinine means so don't use it.

HDMI is needed for ease of connection, 1 cord vs 5. you may say that is a moot point, but it still simplifies things. More tv's have hdmi than component.

Your whole argument is hard to read and I'm probably missing half of it, learn to use paragraphs to separate your points and maybe it will be easier.

You should admit it, the 360 isn't cheaper if you want a true next gen console, which is marketed around its media center capabilities. Period.

Clarify what you mean by deplete, either lose charge faster or lose their ability to hold charge faster.

As for trying to impugn my writing and vocabulary, don't even attempt it, I have seen many of your posts with incorrect grammar, word usage, spelling and just poor English in general, I could write and read circles around you without any effort. I used sinine is a 100% correct way, do I need to post the definition for you?

the batteries in the PS3 controller charge faster, last longer on a charge, and dont have memory like AA rechargables

I used sinine is a 100% correct way
orly?

My keyboard is broken, the a key only works intermittently.

As for rechargeable AAs, I have some that fully recharge in 15 minutes. The battery life of the PS3 controller is rated at 30 hours, I get much more than that from a set of alkalines let alone a NiMH AA that has a much higher mah rating.

I didnt claim it was perfect, but you can read my thougths pretty clearly. alot easier than you can in one gian paragraph

maybe you meant a different word, but when you said that it having a hd-dvd player was asinine

which btw means 1. foolish, unintelligent, or silly; stupid: It is surprising that supposedly intelligent people can make such asinine statements.

is not. it is futureproofing your console. In 3 years when std def dvd's have gone the way of the VHS tape you will understand why they should have had it. Proper marketing/strategy is far from an asinine thing.

When the ps2 came out, it was the cheapest dvd player on the market and was used to play ps2's by a number of its users. I know people who purchased them after they were launched when the price fell as a dvd player.

using big words doesn't impress me. Just give up your argument, fact of the matter is the 360 is a good gaming system, but if they wanted to market it as a true next gen console, its not a penny cheaper than a PS3. PERIOD. You cannot argue that. The 360, with all the accessories it SHOULD have, even with out the HD-dvd player, is MORE than a PS3. Period. I can do the math if you want, but its not CHEAPER quit saying it is.

And the lifespan of a rechargeable AA battery is less than that of the ones used in the ps3, due to the charging mechanism used.

the 360 doesnt force you to buy all that bullsht that you so call a "next gen console." I dont need wireless, i dont care about the ease of upgrading the hard drive, and i dont need to watch bluray movies. i need a game console, and xbox live makes psn look like a joke, that alone makes me love my 360.

and ive never had a problem with mine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

blah blah blah. Then don't market it as a media center. Next gen consoles are based on its media capabilities.

I'm in a bad mood, im gonna go away as I can't explain business to people posting on ca.com.

I was saying that paying $10 to $20 more for the same movie on Blu-Ray is asinine, not having HD-DVD or anything like that.

Again, if you don't need Wi-Fi, which I don't, the 360 is cheaper. If you need or want Wi-Fi the 360 is more expensive.

What battery tech does the PS3 controller use? More than likely it is Li-Po, which has horrible memory effects and capacity degradation. If it is Li-Ion then they are better than rechargeable AA batteries.

Also, im pretty sure the 360 will eventually have a bluray addon, i think microsoft played it smart, the hddvd and blueray battle could have gone either way, having it integrated into the system would have been a catastrophe.
