ATTN: PS3 & 360 owners

i havent played online on 360 but i like my ps3...only reason i didnt buy is because where the start button is on the 360 controller....u get in to a game and start moving fast and try to hit the button next to it and i hit start too 5/6 times lol

to me...it all comes down to the controller....i much prefer the comfort of the xbox360 controller over the cramps in my muscle between my thumb and first finger, yeah that curved little spot that always cramps up on me when i'm playing with a ps2 or ps3 controller.

Online play is not without its problems on EITHER system. Good exclusive games are split about even.

Oh, xbox 360 has oblivion, and future Elder Scrolls titles. So it wins for me.

the thing about xbox live is you have to have an open network connection. Firewalls that block any form of xbox live will slow your connections WAAAAAAY down.

It also (on halo) depends on your skill level, and your party size. 1 person/2 person are sometimes harder to group up, because many times their are 4 player teams (which are joined with other 4 player teams) or 3 on 3. 2/1 groups need to have some combo of all to get 6 or 8, so it becomes difficult sometimes to find enough people to play before they are placed into a different group.

I have both systems ($100 in total in both systems combined 2)... i am ftw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

i have found that using a bridged connection thru a laptop is an effective solution around this problem... atleast for me

Honestly the only reason my kinda skeptical to make the transition is because of Forza 2(the whole series) and the Xbox achievements(not really a big deal though).

Whats your opinion on the 2?

I own both.
Xbox live layout is better, easier to navigate, more functions. With that said, sony in constantly upgrading theirs making it better, plus its free.

Game selection isnt a big issue to me. Granted, each has its exclusives that catch my eye. If there is a game i want, i grab it. As far as Xbox kicking the PS3 *** in terms of games is BS. The only real standout game on xbox for me is Gears of War. The only other games that come to mind are Mass Effect, and Bioshock. PS3 has MGS4, Ratchet and Clank, R:Fom, Warhawk, GT. Most of the newer franchise games are dual platform.

Seems kind of a dead even race for both, games wise. (IMO)
PS3 is getting Bioshock. Supposed to have some additional things added into it as well. I heard more level's are being added to make it a little longer but those are just rumors. I loved it on 360 and can't wait to get it on PS3.

I love my PS3 and everyone I know that made the switch from Xbox 360 to PS3 have all said they like the PS3 more. Like stated in the many other threads that compare the system's each console has it's advantages and dis-advantages. You also have to look at how long the Xbox 360 has been out compared to the PS3. Sony builds the system on a 10 year plan so you know you will be getting a system that 5-6 years from now will still be getting good games. Where as with the Xbox 360 chances are in another 2-3 years they will probably have another system release.

If you got the money to spend then go ahead and get the PS3. You will have a good game console and a Blu-Ray player. It's about time for all the good game's to start coming out as well. FallOut 3, Resistance 2, FarCry 2, Bioshock, Call of Duty, GhostBusters, DeadSpace, Silent Hill, MotorStorm, and all the 2009 sport's games.

IMO 360>>PS3. Controllers are better, graphics are better (don't argue this, the developers themselves even say this) it's cheaper, has more exclusives that I want and is just a great system. I have a few friends that have bought PS3s and they just sit there not being used while they are on their 360s all the time, they all regret buying a PS3 and say they wasted their money.

I regret buying my 360 and having to dump it to get a PS3.

No, I just have no reason for a PS3, I just don't like the controllers, the exclusives don't interest me outside of MGS4 and Blu Ray while cool is too expensive for me at this point. I also have a Wii, I like that too, but it is completely different from either of the other 2.
