But what about lust, seeing a pretty girl and thinking about her sexually, not illegal, but still a sin. What about jealousy or greed, wanting what someone else has or more than you have, not illegal but still a sin.

My point was, people know who these people are in church, stand up shake their hands, talk about how glad they are to see them and all that. Have a openly gay person there and the reception would be totally different. Hypocritical!

Thank you for this view. See what I mean? You just gave the example I have been trying to get across. Being gay is no more acceptable to society as thievery, murderous acts, or any other Sin of the type. Why is it unlawful to kill another human being? Perhaps merely because it is a sin? What happens to thieves and murderers who get caught by society? We have a place for them, just as we have places for the mentally ill in our society....isolation from said Society.

For humanity's sake, I hope you're just trolling. But I somehow think that you actually believe this non-sense.

So wait, if people aren't having 10 children like a good Catholic should, there's no room for that behavior in our society? Wow, just wow. You honestly think we need more people on this planet? I'm straight and don't plan on having children, am I then an abomination in your eyes (and obviously your God's eyes too)?

Oh well, best to leave 'ole Quackhead to his bigotry and try and move on with human civilization. Every generation we get less and less of his kind, too bad we can't just speed up the process.
LOL...and you call me a Bigot??....LOL

oh, and it is a good thing your family tree will not be branching out...some of us sincerely thank you for that.

Why is that hypocritical? In your eyes homosexuality is one of those "lesser sins"..lol. If I thought of it as meh, whatever floats u boat you would be ok, BUT if some of us see it as a whole lot more damaging to our society than the "lesser sins" you mention, then we are Hypocrites??? Label me what you want, we all sin, but if I choose to think of the GLBT lifestyle as unacceptable to the fabric of society, I am free to think that way too. I see a lot of immoral acts that are legal acts in the United States and there are many of us who are more than ready to clean house good and proper like.

A snippet of the letter from Chris Kluwe, Minnesota Viking's Punter, in response to Maryland state delegate Emmett C. Burns Jr.:

"This is more a personal quibble of mine, but why do you hate freedom? Why do you hate the fact that other people want a chance to live their lives and be happy, even though they may believe in something different than you, or act different than you? How does gay marriage, in any way shape or form, affect your life? If gay marriage becomes legal, are you worried that all of a sudden you'll start thinking about penis? "Oh shit. Gay marriage just passed. Gotta get me some of that hot dong action!" Will all of your friends suddenly turn gay and refuse to come to your Sunday Ticket grill-outs? (Unlikely, since gay people enjoy watching football too.)

I can assure you that gay people getting married will have zero effect on your life. They won't come into your house and steal your children. They won't magically turn you into a lustful cockmonster. They won't even overthrow the government in an orgy of hedonistic debauchery because all of a sudden they have the same legal rights as the other 90 percent of our population—rights like Social Security benefits, child care tax credits, Family and Medical Leave to take care of loved ones, and COBRA healthcare for spouses and children. You know what having these rights will make gays? Full-fledged American citizens just like everyone else, with the freedom to pursue happiness and all that entails. Do the civil-rights struggles of the past 200 years mean absolutely nothing to you?"

"They won't magically turn you into a lustful cockmonster."

That line always cracks me up, it's as if some people actually fear that.

MUST SUPPRESS THESE URGES!!!

What I am saying is there is no such thing as "lesser" sins.
Quit judging people, that is a sin.
It comes down to doing what we feel is for the betterment of the future of mankind...our children's sake. It is not judgement per say as much as it is common sense. But perhaps you are on to something...Maybe it is time homosexuality should be considered a felony crime and openly judged as such and the same penalties applied as other felonious acts in our Society....unless it is considered a mental illness under which we would create a whole new study for a drug to combat it, just as we do other mental illnesses. Perhaps removal of the appendage to prevent homosexuality, just as it is has been commonplace to remove parts of the frontal lobe of the brain to treat other severe mental disorders.

Just like God sent Hurricane Katrina to punish the "homosexual agenda" (another phrase that makes me chuckle) in New Orleans?

Believe what you want to believe. Do what you want to do so long as it doesn't infringe on others personal freedom. All I'm saying is that principle should be applied to everyone, even if you don't agree with it. Religion has ton great things for lots of people, but it's also destroyed as well. If you choose to believe, fantastic, more power to you. Let others make their own choices instead of forcing your beliefs on them.

Which brings me back to Mr. Leary, "Think for yourself, and question authority".

I really am glad your family tree is not branching. Social Security benefits? COBRA healthcare??...all of those are available on a individual basis. This is another area that needs to be addressed in our society. Holy Matrimony. Governments have used this as another dividing tool for the masses, completely ignoring the separation of Church and State rights...talk about Bigotry..lol...there it is. Marriage is a when a man and a woman join together as one before God. It is a Religious Act...always has been and always will be. The Government has used it as a tool to cause separation and manipulate our rights as individuals, therefore causing the inequality you are feeling.

You seem pretty defensive of the gay lifestyle. I do not have to prove anything. I have stated nothing but common sense, not theories. You are the one who should be explaining why the GLBT lifestyle should be accepted in any Society. You are the one coming up with excuses trying to support the illegitimate gay community and denounce God himself.

Look, boy, being gay is NOT ok...get it?
I get what your trying to do. Instead of making a rule where we have to rule out people calling each other fegs and the like, I will simply ban you. We wont let you ruin this forum for everyone else nor let you force us into moderating more.

Personally I don't care either way about gays. They leave me alone and I leave them alone. What is wrong with just leaving them alone to do their own thing as long as it isn't hurting me? Give us some valid examples of how this is severely affecting your life and the reason that it should be a crime. A reason other than your "fear" of it.

I think quackhead is terrified of anything different in life. It seems like he was one of those kids that was made fun of at and early age for being different and not it is a permanent fear of his.

never heard that one...I suppose you may be correct in the punishment of the wicked in the self proclaimed "City of Sin"
