it's funny this site has turned into a shithole since when i first joined. Mods think they have a golden e-dick that rules all of ca.com.
recently I have not seen much of any useful information on this site.

A lot of the traffic is in the lounge, which has absolutely nothing to do with car audio.

The mods poke fun at the newbs, which is not at all how it should be. Just as I was (somewhat) when I joined came on to this site for useful information on fiberglassing and installs.

Now if a newb comes on and asks a question (even if it's stupid) everyone bashes them. You all were once a newb. help people out when they are in need instead of criticizing them. I just hate how most of the mods on here think they are better than everyone else, and give insults instead of information to a lot of members.

Its not good for the traffic of the site.

A newb comes on, gets flamed over and over, hes gonna say fuck it, and go somewhere else thats gonna help him.

You can go through my 37k posts and you won't find any first, second, third posts. I generally type at least one sentence per post. I also don't understand why people who actively participate in the forums are bad choices for mods.

You know as well as I do teebone... post count doesn't necessarily mean "active" in any form of a positive manner. Seriously, it's more of a populatiry contest than anything. If people that actually gave a shit about the forum were in control... there would be a lot more people w/ less post count in mod positions.

I can guarantee... had we been able to take control of the forum when the OG crew was around... not many people would have 15k posts or more here...

One of the most helpful people to me when i first joined was Njism. now it seems as he is an ******* (no offence) to all new people to this site. He has changed from being a helpful member to a dickhead mod.

I just get tired of seeing some of the mods jumping up and talking all kinds of shit, but once I joke on one of them for clicking a link and telling him to quit crying about it, I get banned..

Im not sitting here crying about it, luckily I was able to get ahold of one of the guys I was doing a transaction with on the DD forum, but the mods sit here and run there mouths constantly and I was "quit crying you little ***** just because you fell for it" and I was banned for disrespecting a mod...

This is a **** website, I understand the **** and the scammers or whatnot, but talkin shit amongst each other? That was bullshit, so I understand why people make up another name to ***** about why they were banned.

Sean.. once upon a time... CA.com had no mods... we had a lot of great, knowledgeable people here though that enjoyed actually spending time discussing car audio and helping noobs out. With an influx of more and more kiddies to the forum running rampant an posting off-topic, rude and lude bullshit... we began organizing a strike to get mods on the forum. Goob refused and turned us down a few times... so most of us left and went over to SSA.com. Shortly after that, Goob decided he'd actually listen to what the people on his forum wanted and instated mods. Instead though, of instating mods that were actually interested in keeping the forums here a decent place to hang out... he turned it into a populatiry contest. Stating that a vote would take place among all the forum members and only the members with the highest post count would become mods. Now... back then I was among the top 5 posters as well as a few others, but since we had left to SSA... we didn't take moderator positions here.

They went to other people that really just had fun being assholes to other members.... and seems the tradition continues (at least in a good few of them).

everyone needs to grow the **** up and use this site for information. this site was like high school to me. you have to make fun of people you have no clue who they are or what they do, and think this will make you "cool" to the other members on the site.

Why dont people start acting their age and put useful mobile electronics information on this site instead of having a freshman year chick fight about who's more popular.

there are so many people on this site that could learn or teach people, but no one is worried about car audio anymore, it's all about e-popularity and who can lay down the better insult.
