ATTENTION Dead Amplifier Owners

probably three of the best pictures ive taken of something up close...







by the way, in that first picture, i replaced all of the mosfets on the bottom.. there were 12 there. i was told to replace them all

 
Because it was redundant...I said that they were in fact MOSFET's, contrary to what you may have thought. But apparently, you knew they were in the post above it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

 
there's also a JFET...junction field effect transistor

or a GaAsFET...gallium arsenide blah blah

those are pretty specialized, used mostly for low noise preamplifiers for radio antennas, receivers and such.

 
looks like you need more than just that transistor replaced. Looks like that blue resistor is bad too. And since you replaced all the mosfets.. I would venture that a lot more damage to the amp was done. Putting a new little black thing on probably isnt going to make it work. I would send that thing in to KB instead of requesting parts from them.
