atrend boxes?

OP, what kind of box are you looking for?

Basic sealed box? If so, the Atrend sealed box will likely get the job done. Alot of nicer shops use them as their prebuild line for basic underseat truck boxes and sealed boxed. The few I have dealt w/ were pretty solid (as far as prebuilt boxes go)

Another brand to look at is AudioEnhancer's. I carry them for underseat sealed boxes (saves time for me) and I also stock the KVPR and PB 2-12 and 2-10 ported boxes for the guys that want a basic system and 'must have it now'. Very well build 'prebuildt' boxes, far outclass most prebuilt boxes I have seen. They are my 'go-to' choice for basic underseat prebuilts and the only prebuilt box we stock here at the shop.

Their ported boxes (like every other prebuilt brand) to tend to be on either the low-net-volume or high-tuned side, but I find that the 2-12 KVPR is pretty much on-par w/ design and performance for alot of i-gotta-have-a-box-now customers looking for >700w systems in common vehicles. (iirc, they are ~2cuft per sub @40hz) And I sell them for ~$150 out the door....as compared to other local shops hat sell the ProBox 'SuperBass' 2-12 box (~2cuft per sub @ ~44hz) for $300....lol

How do you build box in two hours including cuts?
2hrs for a sealed 2-12 box is pretty reasonable.

Yesterday I did a 7.25cuft @ 37hz w/ double baffle, window brace, and 3" brace under the subs for 4-memphis PR12's in ~2.5hrs. I did have another installer here at the shop help me handle the MDF to cut and router the mount holes will I put the box together. I build the box and painted the port last nite, carpeted this morning. Total time on the box was ~3hrs. I always let my boxes cure over nite and carpet the next day.

In can usually punch out a basic 2-12, 4.25cuft @ 35hz w/ window brace and double baffle w/ recessed subs (15x25x31.5, 15sq/cuft port) box done in ~2.5-3hrs actual work time w/ nick helping me handle the 4x8sheets, cutting circles, and trimming window brace while I build and finish the box. But I will not sell a box the same day I build it. I always let the seams cure overnite. Hell, I'm planning on punching out a few of these boxes tomorrow. Yes, they are pretty generic, but they work very well in alot of mid-size trunk cars and SUV's w/ quite a few different subs.

If you have nice table saw w/ saw table built around it, 16ga nail gun, enough clamps to work the box on the table and a router dedicated to each bit you use...you would be surprised how quickly you can build a nice enclosure. Nick can help me for 30mins and I can go from there.

In a retail environment, you have to be able to produce quality enclosures quickly and efficiently that perform to the customer's needs.

EDIT:

I don't build the same box over and over like many local shops do....so design time plays a major part. This basic 4.25@35hz is just a box I offer as a package-deal box.

In reality I rarely build the same box back to back, hell, most of my designs on the shop computer's sketchup folder have only been built once. But during times that I need a few boxes sitting up from on the display floor, this box comes in very handy. Tax-return time and walk-in customers kinda requires that kinda thing.
