I have heard good things about them, and I saw alot of them doing well at a local comp. On top of it all I just ordered one last week so I hope they are good!

at the local comps, most everyone were using them.

they (competitors) said that they are great for SPL, and that they are one of the better ones SPL wise. some guy sent 10k watts as a burp for each atomic sub he had (he had like 5)

i dont know how thye will sound w regular music, but damm day can get very loud.

Hmmm, reason i asked this is cuz recently i went to this show. It was a crowd pleaser, which usually comprises of two or more competitors playing songs for like 30 seconds each, and playing about 6 songs each. The crowd decides who's the winner, based on overall performance and calirty of the system, and of course ground pounding bass. Anyhow, there were two main cars, one car running 6 - 15" Mmats Pro cast all being driven by two Mmats 1400.1 & the other car had 4 Atomic subs, i am trying to find out the model, the amp he used were two DEI 2400D's.

Tell you the truth, the 4 15" Atomics sounded much louder and the bass shaked the whole arena. I will try to post some pic of them when i get. I only today found it was Atomic subs he was using, cuz he had them hidden behind a banner //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

According to some, his bass sounded better than the guy with the 6 15's

So i was wondering how these things perform.

How do they do in comps in the US ?

At a comp I went to, Matador was also there, someone hit 165.2 with 2 15" atomic x's. Butr he also had like 8 batteries and 40kw.

nah man, there were 4 15'' (10kw to each)

u could only see two, but there were two in the bottom =)

but, there was also, 2 more cars that had atomic subs.

1 car had 2 15'' i think n hit close to 160 i believe.

the other car also hit in the upper 150s n maybe 160.

Ohhh so they're good for SPL, how about everyday playing ?

i dunno bout everyday playing. but give us a link to their website or to the one u saw.

i guess it would depend on whether u want a SPL system, or a SQ system.

As RE has not been officially released to the public in Korea, atomic is currently the only subwoofers to feautre quad coils. Specs as advertised was 2000w max for the ELE series, but it was supposed to take more than that.

the ad shows the magnets, not the cones, and I can say I don't like the small array of vent holes at the back.

it's got a 12 spoke basket, and I'll probably check them out at this shop next to my house this weekend.
