2 of my buddies and myself just started an instal and consulting shop and I just read that atomic is sponsoring people. I was wondering if anyone is sponsored by them and what I would have to do to get noticed. I would like rep my new shop and rep atomic because I think their equipment is top notch. any insight would be great on the art of sponsorship. thanks guys

Depends. If you can travel to some big comps in your area and consistantly place pretty high in them, you can use that as a reason as to why they should sponsor you. But I doubt they will if you haven't been doing any competing, or just don't do very well at the comps in general.

well I'm getting rid of my 15in re hc and waling off my tib with 4 12in cvrs but plan to upgrade to something with more of a loudness factor. I have wanted to compete forever but nothing is happening in my area

Just go out to every show you can, even if its 5 hours away. You gotta get out and get known. Have an impressive system, whether you do great numbers, it looks real good, or its just crazy loud.

Do the work first. Then show them your results. I highly doubt you'll get a full sponsorship. Maybe a discount.

im just a poor guy trying to start a business out of something that i love to do ya know?

i was pretty sure it was just too good to be true because they made it seem like they would give it to anyone.

Where do i learn about the comps and dates and classes and ect... i checked the comp section but i didnt really find any answers

Go actually look at each organizations website and review their event dates to see if there are any near you.

Back a couple of years ago, George at Atomic offered to sponsor me. I've never competed in anything. He was just looking for someone to do a sweet build, which I was doing, and show off their equipment. It really depends on what they are looking for, and if you are willing to go to comps/shows and show off their products. I couldn't do it just because I don't have the time to go to shows.

You might just call and talk to him, or send him an e-mail. He's a good guy. Maybe he'll just cut you a really good deal on equipment if you're willing to go to some events. You won't know unless you get in contact with him.
