Atomic Apocalypse

So I went over to my local audio shop to find an amp and the owner and I transitioned into talking about new subs. I told him about my plan to get a Fi BTL and then he told me I could do so much more with that amount of power. He showed me an Atomic Quantum and I said nahhh more power. Then I got led onto an Apocalypse. They run about 1000WRMS (lil more for the 15s) and they looked real nice. The owners son then showed me his system. He had 3 10's of those and man they banged. So now Im think about an Apocalypse (later 2). I'm not very familiar with them. I did my research and now I need some opinions.

Atomic has some solid stuff!!! No doubt. I'm running the AP/SPL right now and I love the thing!!!!! The SQ is decent and it deffenetly puts out some good output!! I'm throughing over 2k RMS at mine right now and it loves it. I wouldn't give it much more though. For the regular AP idk how much they can take. You won't be dissipointed with anything from atomic.

Also I would NOT compare the AP to the BTL. BTL will take the AP in most applications. Really depends on how much power you plan on running. I'd run at least 2k to the BTL for starters. If you don't want to deal with that much power, maybe just use a BL or Q. The AP is a very good driver but I wouldn't compare it to a BTL.

im thinking running a AP and a lil over 1K watts amp at first . then upgrade my alternator and big 3, and get another of that pair.

they get very loud. i had a pair of the ap/spl 10's that do a 149.2 with 2k+ each on them avg on music. i have 2 motors sitting here if your interested. got 10 inch baskets too.

not a big difference between teh ap/spl and the ap. but i'd go for the ap/spl if i was you.
