My faith changes my personality in no negative way. My relationship with God is kept to myself, period. And that is all that matters.
Because for those of you atheists, when the time comes, you aren't going to be sure of if there is a Heaven/Hell or not. If there was, you're going to Hell. I decided to take a new mindset that doesn't take up any relative time, or energy, and now I have a chance so that if there was, I'm going to a better place.

For that reason, I see most Atheists as either lazy or too stuck up about themselves. They either are too lazy to learn what God has to offer, or they care more about their personal pride than to believe in something greater than themselves.

this is the way i see it. so even if i die and rot in the ground, at least i took a chance and didnt lose anything. rather than denying it and having no positive to look at and im for sure going to rot in the ground no matter what.

doesnt even change my daily life that i believe in God. the things i choose not to do he doesnt want us to do, so great!

It's constantly being shoved in our faces. You will not find a more obnoxious group of people than christians that want to share the love of christ with you, mormons are right there but at least their stories are entertaining. They want to tell you how jesus loves you, unless you don't believe, then you burn in hell. Religion is just mass mind control. Telling everybody else how they should live with your pro life bumper stickers, passing judgment at the drop of a hat yet not able to see your own flaws. It's one big fucking narcissists club, get together and pretend you're better than everybody else. Believe anything that helps you sleep better, we are all going to end up as dust.

And you seem to come off thinking they all think they are clean and perfect? The difference between them and you is that they notice their shortcomings and take action. The only reason why you would think that they think that they are all high and mighty is because you are really the one in denial.

and thats not to say there arent Christians like that tho. or people who claim to be Christian then turn around and knowingly and purposely sin the very day they attended church or preached to someone about god.

i dont go around telling anyone about god, but if the subject comes up, or they ask, ill share my knowledge. God wants us to help people discover and believe but i highly doubt he wants us to come off as the way some may do it, or the way people feel Christians are.

there is a time, a place, and a proper way of doing it. but its just like anything else, u can judge all Christians because of the very few u have met or know. just like u cant say black people are bad, when the only black people u know are the dudes on the news in ur town that robbed a store. u cant say all women **** just because ur relationships have failed or the women in ur life have screwed u.

So they should do it out of fear of what your all-loving god might do to them after they die? Your argument is a classic one but unfortunately holds no weight. It shows fearfulness and a "just in case" mentality that should not be what your beliefs are based on. But then again, religions have been relying on fear since...the beginning of religions.

I think god would understand why people are skeptical of its existance and realize that if there's no real evidence to believe in it, then why believe?

My Grandfather was an atheist, my dad cried at his funeral not because his father passed away but because he hadn't opened his heart to Jesus and thus was not going to heaven, according to my dad. I've heard this sentiment expressed many times over by christians.

Oh the christians bring plenty of hate. Love thy neighbor...unless they're a fag. Killing doctors that perform abortions because they believe it's wrong. Trying to ban teaching evolution in schools. The FCC. The list goes on.

I don't mind people having a belief or participating in religion. To each their own, live and let live etc. What I have a problem with is the hypocrisy, elitist attitude and the incessant need to shove your beliefs down others throats. I've only had christians come knocking on my door. I politely say I'm not interested and they push the issue. Do you believe in god? Do you want to go to heaven? I see you have childrens toys, are you worried about protecting them? I kid you not, that's the line of questioning I got from some pushy broad who walked up to my garage while I was working on my install. She wouldn't go away, I told her I didn't feel like having this conversation with her and I'm not interested. She asks if I'm interested in the protection of the light of Jesus Christ? I told her Glock is my protection I don't need light, please leave. I mean fuck they take this recruiting shit too far. They would do a service to their cause if they would tone it down about ten notches but instead they go around leaving a bad taste in peoples mouths. Enough with the picketing health clinics telling people how you think they should live and all the bumper stickers showing off how great you think you are because you have a cross on the back window. You still cut people off in traffic like an asshole. I work in an industry where I build relationships with my clients and I can tell you good christian is a misnomer. I have seen some pretty foul behavior from people who then turn around and send out an email, come to the so and so family xmas tree lighting party and celebrate family and friends and what matters most this season, blah blah blah, meanwhile Dads boozing, moms on pills and will blow the next person to ask, kid is in the closet because he goes to a christian school and is afraid to tell his parents. Who are the people in denial? I couldn't make this stuff up, I'm not that creative. I could go on about Rush Limbaugh and how he used to call for zero tolerance on drug users and how they should all be locked away. Oh then one day he gets busted with pills and now it's a different story and he's grateful because it showed him a better way. What a crock.
