I'm starting on an ambitious project to build a SPL Car for For DB drag racing events.
Target 155+ db: Class Super Street 3-4

4 x 15" Soundstream splx 152 HF subwoofers.

3x Braille deep cycle batteries with 1275 CCA each
1x SoundStream mono block amp rated at 15,000 RMS drawing 1400 amps.
Have also brought 2 smaller 600rms mono blocks to run fronts individually
To date I have made and installed the big 3: ( 0 gauge cable to engine bay ) ground chassis, ground engine block, pos to alternator.
Ordered 50 sq feet of sound deadener ( Fat mat ) for chassis to reduce road noise/ out side noise and vibration.
Today i had my first resonance test run (see below )
system resonance 61hz with 1x 15" Total Recoil Sub 1000Rms just a spare i had floating around
i only used an iphone with an FFT analyzer near where the set up the term pro mic for the drags...
i know this may effect the out come using a iphone mic and also resonance may change after fat mat ( sound deadening ) is installed + the addition of sub cabinets.
will re-test soon.
any news of someone that has already done this will be very helpful.
