ive been with verizon for 2 and 1/2 years now never had any problems...

i was in the barbershop today and they were talking about since at&t dropped tiger woods...verizon will pick him up and offer an endorsement lol... it could be good if verizon wants to draw more of the younger crowd. t

the thing u have to consider about att is that only about 20-30% of thier network is 3g and the iphone has not worked as a fully functional phone for the last 2-3 yrs. also keep in mind the fanboys with their closed minds will claim the iphone is the best but never tried anything that actually works as a phone. me, im waiting for the new phone google is developing to show what the droid os is really capable of.

yeah so it is impossible to be on the net and on the phone at the same time unless you use wifi on verizon and sprint. the only time this gets annoying to me is if i'm tethering my cpu with my phone for wifi internet and then i get a call so youtube stops loading or something like that

either way verizon has better service as far as 3G. I go to school in alabama and I was the ONLY person that didn't have to go outside to talk on the phone. People would walk out the door to go to class and their phones would go crazy with texts and missed calls from the night before.

the other half of it is the speed of the phone. just like 2 computers connected to the same internet arent the same speed, phones like the Droid will be way faster than most phones because of it's parts. so you can't always compare two different phones on two different networks and get an accurate idea of the networks' ability

and also fyi, apple was going to give verizon rights to the iPhone originally but AT&T offered to give apple all the sales for the iphone and just bank on contracts to use the phone. and word on the streets is they have a CDMA version coming out in 2010 that would be compatible with either verizon or sprint

still... no phone better than the iphone.

If that's the cause why did I get messeges last nite that took 2 hours to recieve. I'm sorry their slow and their network is just manhandled on holidays and usually any other day. Too many iPhones, not enough towers...

I heard that when the 3GS came out they updated their towers to prioritize the newer verzion so the older iPhones became ridiculously slow lmao THAT is bs on AT&Ts part

I just love that the Verizon commercials outright calls out AT&T for their 3G coverage. AT&T commercials, in response to Verizon, only talks about the calling service. They never actually mention their 3G coverage.

my thoughts exactly. it's funny because they sued verizon for their commercials saying they were misleading and lost, so now they retaliate like they are whining imo

I'd take my iPhone over anything else on the market except the Blackberry Bold.

BUT

The coverage is so shitty. I drop about 30% of all my calls depending on the day. I've dropped 7 calls in 30 minutes before..

At&t has the largest costumer base. However I'm sure when they can snake out of the contract they will.

Verizon has about 8 million more customers than AT&T actually.

The best thing about the Droid is its all completely open source. It doesnt need to be hacked to install what you want on it.

the truth is most people dont care about that, most just want whatever is flashy and such.

Most people dont care to much about apps, most of the people ive seen with a blackberry/iphone/droid only have 10 or so apps. and they are usually a tip calulator, some kinda IM service, and ebay.
