hell yeah, that tenth of a second you WERE gonna save isnt gonna be worth it if you hit someone in the assend then they pull you out of your car and give you and assbeating! you could be like a month late to where ever you were going, not a good way to save time!

I tailgate people all the time if they are going under the speed limit. Fuck you if you think you can meander along.

Also almost 100% of the people not driving in a straight line or going way too slow for the limit in the zone are on their fcking cell phones. I will ram them off the road in my tank of a Volvo if I have to.

Even if somebody was really being a dik about it, I would not risk my car to prove a point, thats just ridiculous.I would just move out of the way.

I was pulled over about 3 years ago for "tail-gating". I was in a TURN only lane going into my apartment complex and a sherrifs deputy said i was too close to the other vehicle infront of me!?!?! I could see my front door from the spot where i pulled over, he began to accuse me of drinking. Long story short he gave me a road sobriety test and a breathalizer and i passed, ****stick. I then walked to my apt. I had a baby blue civic hatchback at the time and used to always get pulled over.

Just slam on the brakes. Then don't get out of the car after they hit you. Tell them to call an ambulance because your neck hurts really bad. Get hauled away by EMS, get looked at by the doctor, who will always diagnose you with whiplash, call a lawyer, and sue the s**t out of them. Get a new car, and a fat "pain and suffering" settlement. My lawyer gave me the that advice. In his words, they really can't tell if you have whiplash or not, and no one can disprove that you're in pain. Oh, and unless your brake lights don't work, it will be the asshat tailgaters fault 100% of the time.

Tailgating people especially old folks and families is perfectly fine if you are in the far left lane on a highway...

Having a tailgater in the first lane and/or second lane = Pissing off worthy

Having a tailgater in the passing lane= Your own **** fault, if you wanna use that lane, use it for passing.

That reminds me of drivin home one day:

I was in the passing lane, and theres not much traffic. This jeep is commin up really fast (speed limit is 65, I was goin about 72, he was goin i'd guess 80+). I went to change lanes so he could pass me, but the asshat was too impatient and darted over into the right lane to pass me instead. So I sped up, and I was in the passing lane. I kept up with him enough that he couldnt get ahead of me and back into the passing lane. Comming up ahead was a big, slow-moving semi. I kept ahead of the asshat, and he had no chioce but to get behind me again. when I got up to where I was with the semi (and asshat couldnt pass), i slowed down to the speed of the semi (about 60). I rode like that for another 5 miles or so, when I had reached my turnoff. I stuck my middle finger up out of the window for him to see, and went home.

but yeah, i used to push my 92 s-10 as fast as it could go (~90mph) down the highway on my way to college on the southside. i used to also go 60-65 in 40 and 45 zones.
