Asking ALL experts... Where would you tune it?

I get off work one day (after a 60+ hr week!) and a kid in a jeep wrangler plowed into me at a redlight when it was raining... Subs/Box got screwed so im about to rebuild the sub stage... Gonna be running 4 Soundstream SPLX-HX2 15"s (on a Powerbass Extreme 4000d more than likely) and have about ~18cu ft to work with... subs up port back... tuning freq you think would work best?????

...what are you aiming for? You want a fart box to compete with or are you going to use it as a daily driver with music? If it's the latter, what kind of music?

I dont see how you can go wrong with 35-38 hz tuning for a loud daily setup.. If you listen to organ music or Dubstep Id say tune to 28hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Im kind of shooting for a daily setup but "all goes well" i may get into a few local comps. But overall i want a sort of blend of spl/daily so i can still play decaf hard but meter well... guess that must put me in the area of mid/high 30s?

Im hoping i can finally get a ~150ish but sound good doing it... i know its contradicting itself saying that but hey everyone has their opinion... just hope mine isnt the stupid one

Someone said there is no such thing as SQ above 140 hz.. I have to agree.. Yea you can put Hi end components amps and subs together, but the balance is just gonna be to loud .. BUT I have heard some kickass150 setups.. And I think you have a good chance of doing it.. If your really thinking SQL Id do 35 hz.. that me tho

Well said! You said it better than i could have myself. and i do think im gonna shoot for 35hz... sql is my liking... but there again ive never been to a comp or even heard a real "sq" setup. THANKS for the suggestions!!!
