Anybody have any suggestions?--Downward firing or Upward firing???

Does your Jeep have the clearanace for those subs under the seat? AA lists the mounting depth alone as 5 1/8". Just curious, as I've never worked on a Jeep before. Didn't know if you were doing any modding like deepen the floor pans or anything.

fire them down to load them against the floor.

the fabric/padding of the seat will do more absorbing.

the hard floor will (should) reflect more sound (louder).

my buddy has his assasin 10" in like 2.2ft^3 ported with a 4" aero running off an orion 3002 and it sucks imo. I don't like it at all, I've played with alot of small subs and I'd take the eD personally.

over both I'd get the DD1008a //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif or a soundsplinter rl-i8 or possibly L7's...

how much power is that? (300W?)

don't know about the DD, but the RL-i and L7 cost a lot more than the assassin (about double).

i've owned both and played with both and the eD doesn't compare in output...period

Alright, Got the Ascendant Audio 8 inch subs and installed them in sealed boxes. My question is where should the settings be on my amp(Hifonics BX1000D)?? The adjustment knobs are labeled: subsonic, bass eq, low pass, phase, and level.---???

Depending on how much better the new Assassins are and how much they cost, I may upgrade my 8"s as well, just because.
