You should use Pan head screws or Allen heads.. They have a thicker shank and a wider thread than drywall screws.

I use drywall screws on a weekly basis; they are not very strong at all

Also, the beveled head of a drywall screw will bend and depress the basket's mounting holes into the wood. Pan heads are flat against the mounting surface

Well aware of it, the final product will be bolted to the front of the enclosure..drywall or any screws need not apply //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Nope they were just sitting in there...aftermarket gauges have been picked out
