Ascendant Audio Build log!

Yeah...i could only find 1/4 20 panhead screws that i needed in brass as well
Needless to say soft metal and a screw driver does not get along....but it's only to hold the sub in until the 3rd, then she's getting ripped back apart for the g13 code build //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

1 sub

1 amp

Whole lotta boom.
Hehehehe, I can't wait. Maybe it will trigger another small earthquake on the east coast...

**** dry wall screws will break all day long on high powered subs. . .
Predrill the holes and use #12 sheet metal screws!!!!
drill larger holes and use T-nuts;)

^ T-Nuts work great as long as you have strong ones and use them correctly. Otherwise they can be a pita........I used them to hold in the port and two of the stripped out at first. No way to pull out the bolts other than to cut the heads off with the sawzall //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif You just have to make sure they bite and then torque the bolt down until the back of the t-nut sinks into the wood slightly so it wont slip.

Screws are just easier for me. I take my subs out a lot, and seems like T-nut always end up spinning. . .

Back on track. . .When will we see this single sub and single amp setup????

nah...it's getting ripped out soon //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i'll flim flam it to fix it for the last show i guess
