Ascendant Audio Build log!

that has nothing to do with the subs being badass. its you using shitty *** drywall screws to hold down subs.

A sub banging away free air with 800w and not bottoming out or anything is pretty bad *** if you ask me. On top of being slammed back in forth in and out of the enclosure for a few seconds. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if u say so. must not get out much

Also, what kind of screws are you using for the subs? I'm shocked that they're able to rip them out....try using coarse thread drywall screws if you haven't already.
**** dry wall screws will break all day long on high powered subs. . .

Predrill the holes and use #12 sheet metal screws!!!!

The real monster is coming...soon //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I was going to do something similar with my sub. I just dont have a bit long enough to drill through 6" of MDF, not to mention the t-nuts can be a ***** sometimes if they strip out the wood on the backside. T-nuts from Home Depot FTL!!! I initially purchased about 10-15 from Lowes, worked awesome solid as hell, then made a run to home depot, bought the same size t-nuts and had everyone of them strip out and/or break off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Lowes>Home Depot imo

edit- Not to mention I had to cut off the head of the bolt on all of them when they stripped out on me, what a pita.......

Yeah...i could only find 1/4 20 panhead screws that i needed in brass as well

Needless to say soft metal and a screw driver does not get along....but it's only to hold the sub in until the 3rd, then she's getting ripped back apart for the g13 code build //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
