Yes you did, he'd been previously saying he had settled on an Ava, and that's clearly what he was saying was hard to find. When you bolded the second part of his statement, the 'each of them' part, you forgot to bold where he said "used".don't think i misunderstood
I have been looking at this sub, what size box and tuning do you use? How much power will it take?AA avalanches are nice, but IMO, just pony up and get a Tempest X if that's what your after. You pay more, but it's not used .Same sub but without the suspension noises at full bore and shorting rings so it will actually provide output above 50. I've played with both so I can comment on this, I had an AVA in my car for over a year, the tempest is the same sound overall, just alot more up top.
Was just wondering what kinda of box you had yours in and how much power you put to it.In an 03 stratus, ported or sealed? 2.5-3 cubes sealed with some poly would be good. Ported, 4 cubes at about 28hz if you can fit that would be very nice as well. XBL^2 makes the subs very effecient, anywhere betweeen 600-1200 watts woudl be fine. If you put a 1200 watter on it, as soon as the sub stops getting louder, stop turning it up. The subs are motor limited, it wont' begin to sound nasty if you overdrive it, the cone won't even go much futher no matter how much extra power is applied, you'll just keep upping the volume until the coil smokes. That's true of all XBL^2 subs, they are effecient right up to their clean limits, htey won't exceed it so don't push past it.
