Alright so I'm putting my AA Avalanche in my regular cab silverado sealed behind the seat. I'm a small guy so moving the seat all the way forward pretty much doesn't bother me a bit. I'm not sure what qtc to aim for, but I can fit a 3.5 cubic foot box no bigger. I want the bass to keep up with the music and still have good low end. I have put in my 3 cubic foot box withe the AA in it and it seems the low end over powers the upper end bass frequencies a bit. That makes me think I should have a smaller box. What would be the best qtc to aim for in a single cab.

What i am worried about is having an overpowering low end in my truck.

Well the box depth is going to 8.25 on the outside and I will have like 8.15" inches of depth for the subwoofer because I am going to cut a 6" x 6" square outa the back and fiberglass it shut so that the vent in the magnet is further away. I might be able to get almost an inch behind it because of the pockets in the sheet metal on the back of the cab. the enclosure will be 56" wide 8.25 deep and 18" high. 28" of the box will be slanted and have a bottom depth of 12" the other 24' will be square. I dont plan on making the box slanted its just a max box size. My subwoofer grill will hit the top of the seat but more the 3/4 of the subwoofer is uncovered So i dnt think that should effect the sound.

I'm going to put this in a 2.2 cubic foot sealed box so it has an alignment of .707 but maybe a little smaller since it will be lowered when put in the truck? Am I right about that? I do not know the alignment now but it is probably around .6 or so in 3 cubic feet and it is almost to low lol or is that just me.

I had one in a trunk car sealed in 2.2 and that was big enough to have good low end even in a big trunk car. You can go smaller than 2.2 and still get great lows in a truck. I'd do like 2 cubes and if you dont' like it add some polyfill. This sub just has no output above 50hz no matter what you do. My car actually has ALOT of gain at 50hz and I had no idea until I switched subs lol. It'll always be a little bottom heavy and won't play anything over 60hz. I'd just do 2 cubes and call it a day, wonderful low end on that sub tho.

Yeah I will keep that in mind and I think the sub isn't that lifeless above 60hz if it is I can fix it with an eq or just do 3 way active and have my mids play the 60 and above. If I went 3 cubes ported at 28hz in my truck would that easily hit 145db + on 1000w?
