Looks like the AQ's are a pretty popular choice is the 2200 at 12 volts or 14?

How would the 2200 compare to a DTR 3400 they both do 2200 at 1 ohm on 14 volts the soundstream just has a half ohm rating which is somewhat attractive. Sorry I keep finding options Soundstream DTR3400.1

The aq willl run @ .5 jus doesnt have a rating...no experience with the soundstream..but i di see alot for sale used so take that gow ya want...im kinda partial to aq

I have to ask: what does your electrical look like? You're not going to need 3 alts or anything for an AQ2200, but stock with just big 3 probably won't be happy.

Yup gona need big 3 and a good agm under the hood and one in the back

Big 3 in zero gauge, positive and negative runs of 1/0, 55ah agm under the hood will have a battery for the back eventually. Also I believe the stock Grand Prix alt is 120 amps.
