Army

If I didnt have the kids when I did I would have went. I was getting into to much trouble and I believe it would have straightened me up, but luckily I got the kids and I have grown up alot more.

Sounds like a good idea. You dont always end up out there getting shot at.

-First off, they're going to tell you just about anything to get you to commit. They're salesman, they have to hit quotas. Your best bet is to talk to someone, whos not a recruiter about the military...

x2

your from the republican south so we just take it for granted //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
actually id vote hillary over a republican when i vote. i hate bush. he wont be here much longer

Yeah you do.

Pretty much I sign papers and go to basic training. Then AIT. There i learn a specific skill to be used in the army. I want to be a firefighter so the program im joining sends me back home once I complete my Army education and they pay for my college education in whatever I want (idealy fire science) and they have a job waiting for me when i get back from AIT (actually its an interview but i mean cmon - memphis fire dept is kinda hurtin). After I finish college im eligible to be called to god knows where till im 24. My education will be paid for and my career is there.

faulkton what do u think you go to basic training and then they ship you to iraq and draw assignments out of a hat? you pick what you want to do.

Thats what I thought. They test you and say you have these choices right? And usually those choices are where they need you the most.

When I talked to them awhile ago you got to pick what you wanted to do and if you scored high enough they put you in that job. They have a list of what they need and the bonus that you get for that job, but I was also told by someone else to find what you want and wait till that position is needed then sign.

i serve in the USMC and i will just tell you the military is not for everyone, ive been in for 3 1\2 years and most of my time ive been in iraq mainly because we deploy for 7 months then were back in the states for 5 months.
