Argument about the big 3..

Okay..for the past few days that ive been on these forums..a lot of you have told me that whenever I get my setup to do the big 3..my setup that im getting is in my signature..BUT one of my friends told me that I dont need the big 3..he said all I need is 0 gauge wire and a capacitor.

Whats the deal with it?

well i have 2 12" Type Rs runnin em off a MTX Thunder 1501d and i HIGHLY doubt my truck would keep up with them without Big3......Big3 is a much better way to solve dimming and voltage problems than using the capacitor as stated by your "friend"

Agreed, cap wont help at all. 0 gauge wire through out and big three a good start.

look at the wiring from your alt to bat and tell me by upgrading to 1/0 from probably 4/0 isnt going upgrade the amount of power going through the wire...have him look with you... not only that, how much is a cap? 70 bucks? for 10 bucks u could have the wire to do the big 3

without the big 3, the entire system will run low voltage because the stock wire is not large enough to handle the continuous demands. prove to him by installing the shit without the cap or big 3 and demonstrate the dimming/voltage drop. then do the big 3 and repeat test.

so i can do a standard system hookup and then go back and do the big 3?

Ask him why your vehicle does not require the big 3 and why it needs a cap.

What would get you drunk faster, drinking through a stir straw, or pounding a beer bong.

Your not going to solve voltage drop with a cap and 0ga the same way your not going to fix a gunshot wound with a band aid.

And stop listening to your friends that think they know everything, they will end up screwing you over eventually, sit I my shoes and here what peoples friend that knows CA says just kind of makes you feel sorry for them sometimes , one of my favorites is "DD I never heard of that it must be cheap s***, lets go back to that pawn shop and get those Legacys there cheaper, and look like there built better" (A.K.A had chrome on them).

What makes your friend qualified for this ?
