I'm a dickhead. I like to wang at stop lights sometimes. Depending on what mood I'm in. Sometimes I feel like being a jackass and pissing everybody and there mama's off at the redlight. im pretty sure my 1 12 w/300watts cant do much harm... espeically if the person next to me has their window up, i bet they wont even know my music is on.. but i do turn my shiet down in parking lots and drive ins and all that

i dont bother to turn my music down at redlights, i mostly drive with my windows up... the most they can hear is alittle bit of rattle... but im positive alot of the rattle gets drowned out by other nosies.. engine, wind, cars passing by etc etc

but i can see how this would be a problem for you guys running 1000wrms systems

well im running 2 12's on 400 watts (200 a peice) but it gets **** loud and low for such a small setup. when i drive by people, i see people on the other side of the road turn theyre heads and look. i was sitting at a redlight with my shit blaring the night i got it installed, the guy 3 cars ahead of me stuck his head out the window, looked back at me, smiled, gave me the 'rock on symbol' and drove off. so i know people can hear it, i just dont like being disrespectfull.

There are so many things that it depends on....like what I'm listening to, who is in the car with me, where I am, what time it is, all kinds of stuff....

Most of the time I'll turn it down in parking lots and at long lights, but if I'm with friends and being stupid there are times when I purposely want to be a jackass. If somebody next to me is talking on their phone or has their window down, usually I'll turn it down out of courtesy. If somebody pulls up next to me blasting some rap music, I usually put on the Captain Planet theme song and blast the crap out of it just because it's funny. If I'm angry I tend to listen to my music louder and not give a crap about anybody, but if I'm in a good mood I listen to mellow music and don't turn it up all that loud to begin with. Basically, it depends.

I usually drive with my front windows down about 6 inches. And when I roll up to a redlight, I'll roll them up completly. I still love the looks I get when people see my Explorer shaking like a crack baby.

I feel the same way to the OP. I turn my stuff down and if my windows are down I roll them up. Now If I just had components I'd roll up my windows but I wouldn't turn it down. I've always felt this way though, it's just annoying to blare your stuff at a busy intersection.

24/35 on the alpine, windows up, its not very loud outside.

1000w to an 18 sealed, it'll get muted.
