I have actually been interested in 2012 theories since I was about 16 years old. I have been following the making of this movie for quite some time. After viewing the newest trailer, I am not looking forward to the movie as much as before. Sure the trailer looks good, but it looks like a good special effects movie that is like all of these doomsday movies. I mean it is entertainment, but it looks rather ridiculous for something that could be somewhat reality.
Alot of people, probably majority of this forum, are non-believers of a world changing event in 2012. Often times these are the same people that think Y2K was supposed to be the end of the world. When actually that was the predicting of our networking and computer systems going down with the incapability of changing over to 2000, nothing about world destruction that the 12/21/2012 date suggests.
12/21/2012 may not be THE date of the end of the world, it is the mark of the beginning. Who knows maybe it will end in less than 24 hours. (earth's pole shift taking place)
If you guys are interested in the topic more, I suggest doing exactly what the movie suggests... search 2012 into youtube, google, yahoo questions. I have read days of material on this subject as it intrigues me.
But anyways, back to topic on the movie. It looks cool in terms of a doomsday movie, but I think it is just going to take away from the actual upcoming date that it represents.
