are volfenhag subs good

i am happy with my purchase.... i would not buy them again.. but for the price they are not bad (sound a lot like $100 subs)... i would reccommend volfenhags to people who are on a budget.. not to those who are serious about car audio

i have heard people say that gnomes in the trunk sound better than volfenhags.. well s@#t man.. where can i get one of these bass spewing gnomes?

oh and by the way.. the volfenhag amps are halfway decent i think they power things pretty well, i have my amp at way less that 1/2 gain and it pounds the hell out of my subs(i have already needed to replace some subs that gotten beat to death)

heh.. exactly.. i say "for the price" because for the price there aren't very many subs that sound better in that price range.. and again notice how i said "not very many" indicating that there are better subs in that range.. but volfs are not the worst thing since experimental "limburger cheese/squirrel hybrids to fight world hunger"

heck.. some people don't have a lot of money to go all out on a car stereo anyway...

all i can say is yes aluminum cones do **** never heard anthing good about them, but on the other hand the dual voice coil excursion subs kick *** i have 4 of them in tuned ported boxes with a ma audio 4400 watt pushing them also with 4 kole audio 2.5 farad capaciters with a optima yellow top as a second battery, soon i am going for 2 ma audio 4400 and 8 12s oh ya with 4 12s im hitting over 160db easy also with the deck on 15 its so ****ing loud you get sick and go blurry eyed. anything above 20 all the deck does is skip and it goes louder and louder they like the power.

\i can get the dual voice coil / excursion subs for a real good price at my local stereo shop
