Are screws really necessary when building a sub box?

clamps, glue, and brad nails = box done in less than an hour.
Im still learning so it takes me a little longer than that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif, I dont use clamps cause well I dont have any and im a poor college student. My last box took me a little under 2 hours...

with good gluing technique, screws have proven to be unnecessary.

now about lessening the integrity of the wood....this is technically true, but it isnt going to make a difference in this case, unless you are splitting the wood everywhere.

with that said, i use screws...about one every 8-12 inches
