Are Rockford Fosgate Punch 25 to Life's Banned from comps?

Yes, that was my original question.

If they went by DC impedance the speaker was hooked at in a 0-600 class these wouldnt be to bad. (25 to life)

The mmats is rated at 3500watts at 0.5

and 800 at 2

but at 4 its probably like ~300-400

there are no probably's. you must have the actual manufacturers 4 ohm rating.

its not just 4 ohm anymore due to excess "cheater" amps. If you go to their site it somewhat explains it.

I have to agree though the 25 would get destroyed. This year the 0-600 class was won by cactus sounds amp in one class and treo in the other. pf600? and 4.1 I believe?

i think USACi still rates their lowest power class to only one amp at its 4 ohm rating...It was 0-600 the DD M3 4 ohm rating was 600 it was a popular amp in that class
you have to add your sub amp power to your high amp power and get total, if you have no high amp and use the hu then you have to add the hu power.

i did usaci comp this year and it was still 4ohm, also the info is found on their site. you have to download the amp list and what they rate them.

i think you may be right on that but you can have another for your highs but the power must be added to the sub amp to get your total.
I just looked it up he is right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I didnt know that you would have to add hu power and mids/highs power. that seems silly. could I run a dead head and then take out my amp on the mids/highs just for the comp though?

must be able to play music iirc

can't say I have ever seen them take HU power into play. you are correct about if there is another amp in the vehicle it has to be the combined 4 ohm rating of the two.
i have seen them. although alot of smaller shows they dont even look. they take your word for it.

Not argueing about the 4 ohm, but there is more to it than that now. IF an amp has a 4 ohm rating of 250 but a 1 ohm rating of 2000 they break it down and rate that amp as 500 watt amp. Basically if the rating double going from 4 ohm to 2 ohm or quadruples (sp?) from 4 ohm to 1 they divide to come up with an adjusted 4 ohm rating. Difficult to explain but simple if you understand the method.

the one i went to they let a guy in the 0-600w stock class with a plymoth laser walled which isnt legal in stock class. subs must be below window line. he was the only one to beat me. i didnt piss a fit cuz it was all in fun and only beat me by .6 db iirc.

Yeah stock shouldnt have walls in it, everything must be in the "cargo" area and all seats must still be fully operational, no boxes on folded down seats etc.

You remember who was the judge at that show by any chance?
