Are mtx amps underrated

Yea I Found That One All Ready But I Would Like To Know If Thats Close To Acutal

Plus He Said He Took It Out Of His Truck Because It Make A Whoo, Whoo Thrugh The Sub

Is It Fried Are Was He Doing Something Wrong

This is a USED 2-channel amp from MTX. MADE IN THE USA. It is in perfect working order. I have bench tested the amp to assure NO DOA. Recommended application: Best for running a pair of 6x9", 6.5" etc in stereo, or wire the amp mono to an efficient single woofer in an enclosure. Built-in x-over will allow all applications.

No I Was Thinking About Buying One From A Friend

But Didnt Know If The Amp Was Making A Whoo, Whoo Meant That The Amp Was Fried??? Are If He Didnt Know What He Was Talking About

 
Dude if you're not 100% sure it works then leave it alone. I love MTX (I'm using 3 of 'em), but you can get it anywhere! Those amps are all over the place. If you like that particular model you can find another I'm positive. I would just tell your buddy thanks but no thanks.

Also most MTX amps have an unregulated power supply and are rated at 12.5 volts, so usually they will put out considerably more power when you put them in your car.
